Aim for these exercise goals:
▶30 minutes per day of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling.
▶Muscle-strengthening activities that work all major muscle groups (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders, and arms) twice per week.
▶Extra activity whenever you can squeeze it in—yard work, dancing, bike riding with your kids, walking the dog, and so on.
▶Getting up off your butt more often—for example, walking or riding a bike to run errands instead of driving, standing rather than sitting at your desk at work, or riding a stationary bike rather than lounging on the couch while watching TV or reading.
